UFC Vegas 117 is getting a last-minute reshuffle.
A couple of lineup changes have hit this weekend’s UFC Fight Night card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, but the event is still moving forward with 13 fights.
The biggest adjustment comes in the light heavyweight division, where Rodolfo Bellato has been pulled from the card. Stepping in on short notice is former Bellator standout Christian Edwards, who’ll now face Modestas Bukauskas in a 215-pound catchweight bout.
That’s a pretty solid short-notice replacement.
Edwards finally makes his UFC debut carrying an 8-4 professional record. He started his career strong in Bellator, winning his first four fights before hitting a rough stretch with three straight losses. Since then, though, he’s bounced back nicely, going 3-1 in his last four, including a win over UFC veteran Jake Collier.
Bukauskas comes into this one looking to rebound after his momentum got derailed earlier this year. He had put together a four-fight win streak before getting stopped by Nikita Krylov at UFC 324 back in January.
There’s another change lower on the card as well.
Trey Ogden has been forced out due to injury, but Tommy Gantt stays on the event. Instead of Ogden, he’ll now face undefeated newcomer Artur Miniev.
Miniev enters the UFC with a perfect 7-0 record, with six finishes on his resume, so he’s clearly not showing up just to collect a paycheck.
As for Gantt, this has been a long time coming.
After earning his UFC contract with an impressive Dana White’s Contender Series performance last summer, he finally gets his Octagon debut. What makes his run even crazier is how quickly it’s happened. His entire undefeated 12-fight professional career has taken place since April 2024.
That’s an absurd pace.
Despite the late shakeups, the main event remains intact, with Arnold Allen taking on Melquizael Costa in a featherweight matchup that could have real divisional implications.
Not the cleanest fight week, but the card’s still alive.
