Although Conor was pressing Garcia throughout the fight, it was Garcia that was landing the devestating shot that ultimately forced the referee to stop the fight in the second round after a knock down.
Garcia became the undisputed champion and wasted no time to call out a fellow WBC World Champion Teofimo Lopez. Afight that would sell out stadiums and arenas across the world. It is a fight that all fight fans would pay to see. A fight of the new generation of boxing fans around the world.
Teofimo was ion the stands watching and attempted to get in the ring as he heard his name get called out by Garcia. The only thing that stopped him was security but if you are promoted by Zuffa Boxing and arguably the greatest sports promotion in the history of sports Dana White. They will give the fans what they want and it will be an amazing spectacle.
There are other contenders lining up at their chance for the title. Gervonte Tank Davis tweeted he would accept a rematch against Ryan Garcia on his terms. Davis said he would fight him at 140 but would not go up to 147. There is also a retired boxer who many consider to be the GOAT, Terrance Crawford.
Terrance Crawford retired as the undefeated and undisputed champion of the world after beating the legend Canelo.
